Professionalisation, Standards and Education team at the Australia New Zealand Policing Advisory Agency (ANZPAA)
Amy Mehrton manages the Professionalisation, Standards and Education team at the Australia New Zealand Policing Advisory Agency (ANZPAA). In this role, she oversees the implementation of the Australia New Zealand Police Professionalisation Strategy 2013–2018, the Police Practice Standards Model, the Police Training Package and the Cross-jurisdictional Policing Research Model (CPRM). Before her appointment, Amy was the Senior Advisor – Education and Quality at ANZPAA. She successfully led projects including guidelines and qualifications, standards and recognition processes, and quality management systems.
Prior to working at ANZPAA, Amy was involved in projects and research relating to international security, international development policy, minority communities and domestic stability. Amy holds a Master of Arts (Middle East Studies) from the University of Washington, a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the Australian National University and a Graduate Certificate in International Development Management from the Evans School of Public Affairs.
